Blankets for Hospital Patients

Posted by Crookilley Crafts Emporium - Friday, 05 Aug 2022 10:57

We have had close to 50 blankets made for the Frailty and Elderly Wards of Stepping Hill hospital for their patients to take home with them. All made by our customers, many of whom are from the Woodford WI.

This project is ongoing as they will always need blankets, so please do continue making them. If you don't like the joining together, just make the same sized square and we'll piece together.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who has made these. We've been told that knitting (or crochet) has stopped some ladies from nibbling, others have enjoyed knitting to fill their time, a husband told me whilst his wife is knitting, he can potter in the garden. In making these blankets it is good to know that the maker has benefitted too (and some husbands).
